Music & More

Our Musical Guests

Harvest Sons will perform an intimate stripped down set perfect for those looking to kickback and relax to songs from some of todays best Americana acts like Lumineers, Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell and Ryan Adams, in addition to favorites John Prine, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and more.

The covers compliment the original songwriting of Seth Cocquit, who has been crafting songs from “rust belt frames of mind” for the last decade or so. Soulful and catchy choruses delve into current political state of affairs, how crazy people get over small things, about the family farm and small town Seth grew up in in West Central Illinois on the Spoon River, about raising a family and trying like hell to chase a dream….and if it plays in Peoria….ain’t that the saying?

Harvest Sons has been performing across Illinois and Iowa the last 2 years, and their first album “Flat Black Sessions: Vol. 1” will be out October 2018. Learn more about Harvest Sons at www.harvestsons.com

Three Ways To Experience The Event!

A great time, benefiting two great community resources.

The Decatur Craft Beer Festival is a joint fundraiser for MRI and the Decatur Area Arts Council, and is actually one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the two not-for-profit organizations.

MRI (Macon Resources, Inc)

MRI provides services to promote the growth, independence, and self-worth of children and adults with disabilities. MRI was formed through the consolidation of Progress Resource Center and Macon County Rehabilitation Facilities in 1988 to provide  comprehensive habilitative and rehabilitative training programs and support services to individuals who have a developmental disability, mental illness or other disabling condition.

Decatur Area Arts Council

DAAC introduces and promotes the arts, enhances arts educational opportunities, and increases the impact of and access to the arts to improve the quality of life in the community. Through our staff’s tireless efforts, the Decatur Area Arts Council works to provide a variety of programs and services. We strive to provide arts experiences that can be enjoyed by the novice and knowledgeable.
